5501 | Figurative usage of words varies from culture to culture and reflects the national vision of events. The specific attitude and a special culture of drinking are implemented in metaphors. The article is devoted to metaphorical usage of the Russian verb раздавить – razdavit' and speech verbs (приговорить, уговорить, уболтать – prigovorit', ugovorit', uboltat') in texts available in the National corpus of the Russian language and Internet forums. It shows the analysis of the main cases of their contextual usage and it researches the main morphological, syntactic and collocation characteristics of the given verbs that have some features in common and have some differences. The common integrative meaning of these verbs is “to drink a certain quantity completely”. So the statements with these verbs have, as a rule, words that mean the container (a bottle) and its contents (vodka, cognac, etc.) in the context. The peculiarity of the given metaphorical verbs is that when you transfer the names from the base experience to another, you bring context of the word in its direct use. 5502 | The significance of research is attributed to the constant attention of linguists paid to the discourse of women’s prose and to the usage of the components of functional-semantic categories, including the category «comparativeness», in the language of artistic works. The article considers the participation of different structural comparisons in the description of the female characters in the novel The Kukotsky Enigma by Lyudmila Ulitskaya. The structural diversity of comparisons is presented within the functional-semantic field of comparativeness. All forms of comparatives are present in the language of the novel, with conjunctional comparisons by similarity prevailing. From comparisons on the difference, there are forms of comparative and negative parallelisms. The gender approach to describing femininely marked comparatives facilitates to identify idiostyle characteristics of the writer, namely the tendency to extend and concretize the image of comparison, the usage of comparisons for the comparison of heroines, the author’s boldness and frankness of comparative images as well as the images’ allusiveness, and axiological differences between feminine comparisons in the speech of the characters and in the author’s speech. The article pays attention to the text-forming function of comparatives in the broad sense in the language of the novel The Kukotsky Enigma by Lуudmila Ulitskaya, namely to «the correlation of the tropes and realities». Keywords: gender, feminine comparison, the methods of expressing the semantic category «comparativeness», allusions, Ulitskaya’s novel The Kukotsky Enigma | 765
5503 | The article is devoted to a new science of language that is semantic lingvopersonology. Its object is to study the semantic level of language personality that primarily includes semantics of words and sentences. The author of the article comes to the idea that the analysis of semantics of the word is an effective tool for describing the author’s worldview. The author also analyzes the semantics of the word “woman”, shows how the value of this word is associated with the writer`s concept sphere, with high appreciation of the natural life. In V. P. Astafiev’s discours the attitude towards women is the criterion of the rating of men. The study is carried out on the material of the key works by V. P. Astafiev: “The Last Tribute”, “Czar Fish”, “The Cursed and the Slain”, “Shepherd and His Wife”, “Ode to Russian Vegetable Garden”. Keywords: semantics, semantic lingvopersonology, language personality, author’s world view, woman, V. P. Astafiev | 764
5504 | The problem of interaction of concepts of different type is analyzed in the article. In the discourse of a regional journalist A. Shulbaeva under the influence of discursively, locally and individually marked concept oil a considerable transformation of such universal cultural concept as work is observed. As a result of associative semantic interactions occur the changes in the structure of the categorical concepts of different types, due to which the text of the author formed a unique model of discursive picture of the world, which has both regional and individual characteristics. 5505 | This paper is devoted to the conditional model of the spatial organization of the novel which was written by A. M. Remizov and called “The Mere”. In fact the organization of the named novel consists of such locuses as The Yard of Ogorelyhev brothers and The Street. The first locus has pretensions of immensity, but it is limited by the picket fence. The second locus shows the essence of human wickedness. The article deals with the external and the internal aesthetic spaces one at a time. When the external events are over the internal space becomes relevant. Nicolay’s mind is closed under the instigation of the devil. This process leads the main character to the crime and selfdestruction. Keywords: A. M. 5506 | This article is devoted to consideration of ways of conveying surprise in the artistic texts of I. A. Bunin compared to the translations into the Chinese language. From the point of view of cultural forms associated with the expression of emotions, traditions of transforming culture can be in different positions in relation to the source. In the present work, three groups of investigated units were singled out: 1) a way to express emotions in case of coincidence of the original and of the translating cultures; 2) a method of expressing emotions in the case of partial matches between the original and translating cultures; 3) a way to express emotions in case of discrepancy between the original and translating cultures. In Bunin’s fiction the emotion of wonder is expressed in three ways: nominative; descriptive; actually emotive. Translation of a literary text is inevitably exposed to the influence of the interpreter’s national picture of the world because of its conditionality to the language and culture of the people. In addition, the translation of a literary text helps to better understand the national, cultural-linguistic sense of the art work, and in several respects reveals the native Chinese speakers’ language picture of the world. 5507 | The current state of humanitarian science, on the one hand, and the objective conditions of the changed world, on the other hand, inevitably require a new comprehension of problems, both long-known and actual for the new era. And therefore, it is by no means a coincidence that there is a surge of interest in such young scientific fields as psycholinguistics and linguoculturology. The role of psycholinguistics in the study of RFL in the absence of a language environment is considered in the article. It emphasizes the importance of possession, along with the fundamental foundations of the Russian language and the science of it, psychological features and communicative culture of native speakers of the Russian language. Based on a comparative analysis of the facts of the Iranian and Russian linguocultures, examples are given of accounting for psycholinguistic factors in the teaching of the Russian language to Iranian students. Considering the fact that psycholinguistics is a relatively young science, however, it has firmly won the scientific space not only because of its interdisciplinarity, but also the novelty of approaches and, most importantly, the effectiveness of research. Psycholinguistics is the core of the anthropocentric trend in linguistics. While the object of research is a linguistic person – the general discipline of different disciplines that make up anthropological linguistics, each science has its own subject of study. The subject of psycholinguistics is linguistic personality, considered in the individual psychological aspect. Questions that are solved in psycholinguistics, are of pivotal importance for the methodology of teaching foreign languages. Successful mastery of a foreign language is its practical mastery. 5508 | Introduction. A characteristic feature of modern linguistics is the study of language as a means of not only communication, but also the expression of human mental activity, giving access to his consciousness. Cognitive linguistics postulates the idea that language forms reflect all cognitive processes, one of which is the human perception of the world. The aim of the article is to identify the reflection of the peculiarities of perception in phraseological units of the modern English language. Material and methods. The work is carried out within the framework of cognitive linguistics based on a single cognitive methodology for the study of language structures. General and particular methods of cognition are used in the research, such as inductive-deductive method, the method of quantitative calculation and classification, the method of structural and semantic analysis of phraseological units and the method of conceptual analysis. The complex use of these methods allows to look at the theoretical aspects of phraseology from the point of view of the cognitive paradigm of knowledge. Results and discussion. The concept of perception as a cognitive process is defined. It is noted that different types of perception (vision, hearing, touch, smell, taste) are indicated in the English stable expressions by the verbs of sensory perception and the names of the corresponding senses. The article describes the reflection in phraseological units of the English language of such properties of perception as integrity, objectivity, meaningfulness, dependence on the personality of the perceiver, etc. It is confirmed that the perceived is subjected to further cognitive processing, manifested both in the language as a whole and in its phraseological system, in particular. The analysis of phraseological units formed on the basis of metaphorical and / or metonymic transference confirms the associative nature of human thinking. It is proved that the necessary intermediate link between perception and phraseological meaning is human experience. The study allows to understand better the nature of the relationship between cognition and the phraseological system of language, which can serve as a prerequisite for the creation of a separate branch in the science of language – cognitive phraseology, integrating the achievements of cognitive science and phraseology. Conclusion. The presented language material can be used in the practice of teaching English, and also included in the theoretical and practical courses in general linguistics, cognitive linguistics, lexicology and phraseology of the English language. Keywords: cognition, the process of perception, human experience, metaphor, metonymy, phraseological units of the English language, phraseological meaning | 764
5509 | Abstract Introduction. The study is devoted to the historical and pedagogical analysis of the problem of gamification. The relevance of the study is due to the insufficient level of substantiation of both the concept itself and its content, the features of the application of the leading ideas of this theory in education. The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the features of the formation of the leading provisions of the theory of gamification in Russian pedagogical science (1992–2021). Material and methods. Methodological guidelines at various stages of the research were the main provisions of the dialectical approach, the systematic approach in historical and pedagogical research. The theoretical study was carried out on a set of publications of the scientific electronic library (www.elibrary.ru), published in 1992–2021. Research methods – theoretical: analysis of philosophical, psychological, pedagogical literature on the problem under study; logical-historical and systemic Results and discussion. In the course of the research, we came to the conclusion that gamification is a modern pedagogical category “describing the use of approaches in teaching, characteristic of computer games”, whose use provides motivation for participants in the educational process in the ecosystem of an educational organization, contributes to their optimal interaction, personal and professional development by means of special game methods. The formation of the theory of gamification in education in Russia was carried out within a number of stages. At the first stage of the development of the theory of gamification “Formation of ideas about gamification in Russian pedagogical science” (2010–2015), first of all, the scattered data on the origin of the phenomenon itself were generalized and formalized, the theoretical prerequisites for its occurrence were described, attempts were made to substantiate the concept and features of the phenomenon gamification, presents some materials on the process of gamification and its specific application in various areas of human life, including education. At the second stage, “Formation of the leading areas of study of the phenomenon of gamification in Russia” (2016–2019), certain leading methodological and theoretical foundations were identified, the foundation was laid for substantiating the concepts of organizing the educational process using elements of gamification in higher education, the tasks of gamification for organizations were formulated general and additional education of children. The third stage “Formation and systematization of the leading ideas of the theory of gamification” (2020 to date) is characterized by the quantitative accumulation of scientific knowledge about the phenomenon, the formation of its elements at the theoretical and methodological level, and the creation of elements of a modern technological product. Conclusion. At present, a new stage is entering in the formation of this phenomenon, which allows at a qualitatively new level to substantiate the content of gamification as a modern educational technology, which makes it possible to organize a networked educational process in online and offline modes at a fundamentally new level. 5510 | The study is carried out within the framework of functional grammar and is aimed at studying Russian comparative-assimilative adverbs of military themes. The aim of the work is to conduct a comprehensive study of the functioning of comparative-assimilative adverbs of military themes taking into account explicit and implicit semantic features, to determine the composition of this thematic group and to identify word-formation features and types of combinability. The research is based on the works of Russian linguists treating comparative adverbs from different points of view and applying different scientific approaches, as well as on the works of linguists studying lexical-semantic groups of words of the “war” thematic group. The illustrative material was taken from statements from the National Corpus of the Russian language and from a free selection from the Internet. The work was carried out within the framework of A.V. Bondarko’s theory of categorical situations of functional grammar, and elements of contextual and component analysis were also applied. During the research, the composition of this group of adverbs was distributed into semantic subgroups describing the behaviour of persons belonging to different types and divisions of troops, conditions of military service, military ranks and positions. In dividing into word-formation types, a special type with a qualitative-substantive connotation was distinguished, with the meaning of places of location and dislocation of military operations. The division of military adverbs into compatibility types was carried out taking into account the connective, adversative, qualifying and explanatory relations with the main word and as the result both general (according to appearance and speech, character and behaviour, situation and living conditions) and individual semes were identified. As a result of the study, it was found that to represent the behaviour of persons, objects and phenomena of military subjects, comparative-suggestive adverbs actualize in the minds of native speakers either a well-known image in the form of background knowledge, or one of the nuclear or peripheral features. 5516 | The immense interest in metaphor has resulted in the emergence of a massive literature on the subject. From this academic interest in metaphor, a growing interest in metonymy has emerged over recent years, resulting in the formation of an impressive body of research, almost entirely from a cognitive linguistics perspective. The new works on metonymy show a consensus around a number of claims: that metonymy, like metaphor, is a conceptual phenomenon; that metonymy, like metaphor, plays a central role in conceptualization and communication; and that metonymy and metaphor can be identified as distinct, though related, phenomena. Metonymy is not just a type of language but reflects a significant form of human cognition. Metonymy differs from metaphor by the number of domains. In metaphor, there are two conceptual domains, and one thing is understood in terms of another. On the other hand, metonymy involves only one conceptual domain, in that the connection between two things is within the same domain, or within the same domain matrix. There are many types of metonymy and the least investigated of them is the relation between the metric system units and the means of inaccurate measures which can be used alternatively to indicate the space measurements within the same domain. 5517 | The article deals with detection and description of linguistic and extra linguistic regularities of informational waves forming in media communication. An informational wave is interpreted as a connected with informational echo stream of media texts-reactions to one informational reason with detection of peak and recession of social interest and media citations. Establishes the connection of media waves with different types of media texts: primary, secondary and tertiary (texts of the third turn, which are an echo of primary and secondary, are dedicated to topical informational reasons). Reveals linguistic and extra linguistic factors, influencing the appearance and existence of different types of informational waves. As the linguistic factors of the emergence and development of informational waves were examined the following: 1) repeated key words and phrases, and means of their actualization (attributes and predicates, which attend the key words); 2) means of argumentation (logical, rhetorical, stylistic), which were used by the authors of primary media texts according to typical social value; 3) common citations including precedent phenomena, which connect different media texts in the network of informational waves. Extra linguistic factors, that are of great importance for informational waves formation and development, are typical of the following: topical informational reasons for society (events and personalities); realizing in media discourse strategies of provocation, conflict, advertising, connected with psychology of events perception of mass addressee and pragmatics of media communication; informational field of newsmaker and informational field of platform where communication is realized. As an empirical material were analysed primary, secondary and tertiary media texts, forming dynamics of informational waves, which is stimulated by program “Special opinion” with participation of Maxim Shevchenko as a guest and an anchorman Sergey Buntman on radio “Echo of Moscow” on 6-th of July 2017. 5518 | In educational process every teacher faces either a decline of learning motivation level or even the lack of it. The problem of motivation is very urgent in modern Education and Psychology. Psychology and Pedagogy explore it intensively. Firstly, this term appeared in Psychology at the beginning of XX century to expand knowledge about human and animal behavior. Psychological dictionaries present motivation through the relations between needs – motive – activity. Pedagogy studies mostly the motivation of learning and uses the terms “motive” and “goal” to explain the process itself. Motive is a thing which urges a person to action, and goal is a thing which a person tries to attain as a result of this action. Scientists noticed that there are a lot of factors that form motivation to learning; therefore, a teacher should consider every significant part of student life. Modern standard of education is a cause of new requirements to the educational process, it is necessary to use IT technologies and the Internet. The article deals with the relation between students’ interest in on-line computer games and their motivation to foreign language learning. The research presents that student choice of English-language servers is usually deliberate and helps them to improve their communicative competence of the English language and motivate them to learn more diligently. 5520 | Introduction. Valery Ronshin’s works belong to the phenomenon of the two-address literature, i.e. they are focused on children’s and adult audiences and contain considerable pedagogical potential by actualizing important moral and ethical problems for the education of teenagers and children. On the other hand, the simplified form of narration that does not require reader’s considerable intelligent efforts, as well as the use of devices of the popular literature show the author’s attempt to entertain, amuse the reader. The aim of the work is to analyse Ronshin’s “horror stories” and to prove that his works concern popular literature. Material and methods. The material of the research is the works by Ronshin written in the genre of “horror story” (by the author’s definition). In the paper, the methods of comparative and motive the analysis are used. As a theoretical base, the works of Russian literary critics were used: E. M. Meletinsky, M. A. Chernyak, O. N. Grechina, M. V. Osorina, E. A. Polevaya, A. I. Kulyapin. Results and discussion. Valery Ronshin uses images, motives, genres of traditional folklore (a horror story, a fairy tale, a joke, sadistic rhymes) that are familiar to each reader since childhood. In such a way, the author accomplishes, firstly, the effect of the recognition facilitating the reader perception of similar works, secondly, the task to entertain is realized. In spite of the fact that Ronshin’s books are focused on the children’s audience, which is shown by a colourful cover, illustrations in “naïve” or children’s style, the use of traditional children’s folklore genres, his works are addressed to the adult audience as they contain the elements of black humour, the comic devices that are aimed at adults (alogism, devices of discrepancy of the used means, discrepancies of hero’s behaviour to the circumstances, invectives), elements of physiologism. The central problem of the analyzed works is a pedagogical incapacity of parents, unreadiness to the dialogue with children. Conclusion. Valery Ronshin creates works actualizing important educational problems, uses formulas and devices of folklore genres with the purpose to amuse, entertain the reader. His stories should be attributed to the phenomenon of popular literature that inherently aimed at entertainment, escapism, the use of traditional plots and genres. 5531 | The article is devoted to the investigation of ways of representing in English one of the basic universal conceptual categories – the category of graduality. The main aim is to determine specific features of lexicographic description of lexical units that express graduality implicitly in English dictionaries. Modern paradigm of linguistic knowledge – cognitive linguistics – gave an opportunity to look at a number of problems from a new angle, in particular at the formation of the category of graduality and its linguistic representation. Within the framework of cognitive linguistics graduality is rightly viewed as a concept expressed in the language by a category of graduality that includes in the first place quality adjectives because only they can denote some feature that can manifest itself in a higher or lower degr ee and as a result have gradable meanings. The article gives a short survey of present-day opinions on lexical units that express features of objects and new ways of their structural presentation, in particular opinions of leading Russian and foreign linguists – E. S. Kubryakova, N. N. Boldyrev, E. G. Beliaevskaya, L. Talmy. The investigation was carried out on the material of 533 adjectives selected from several authoritative dictionaries of the English language. The author describes the procedure of the conceptual analysis of some frequently used English quality adjectives that have an indication of graduality in their meanings. In the course of the analysis the author makes some conclusions concerning the conceptual structure of English quality adjectives representing graduality implicitly, singles out concepts that serve as a basis for the semantics of the adjectives under analysis and dwells on the peculiarities of their lexicographic description and that of relative adjectives used in their quality meanings. The study shows that the conceptual structure underlying the semantics of English adjectives representing graduality implicitly includes two concepts – “feature” and “feature degree”. The first one has a different semantic representation depending on the meaning of the adjective while the other one expresses the same feature degree in all the meanings (very high, high, low). The research is interesting for further analysis as not only the issue of lexicographic presentation of graduality is of great interest today but also the issue of new approaches and methods of studying graduality, the status of units functioning as means of expressing graduality and some others. All these issues need further investigation on the material of different languages. 5532 | Introduction. The study of the costume code of linguistic cultural type is presented. The relevance of this work is due to the lack of basic research studying the costume code in linguistic culture. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the vocabulary of the dialects of the Middle Ob region is considered as the result of objectification of the costume code of cultural in type. The purpose of the analysis of language material is to determine the essence and identify the specifics of the functioning of the costume code in dialect linguistic culture. The following tasks were set: to determine the circle of tokens through which the costume code is verbalized; carry out their classification; define the costume code functions that are represented in these language units. Material and methods. The research material was the dialectic speech of the inhabitants of the Middle Ob region recorded in the Tomsk dialect dictionaries and in the dialect base of the Laboratory for General and Siberian Lexicography of Tomsk State University. In the course of the work, more than a thousand lexical units were identified, objectifying the sphere of traditional Russian clothing. In the course of the work, descriptive, differentiated, distributive methods were used, as well as a semantic analysis of linguistic units, their linguocultural description. The use of the above methods of analysis and processing of the material made it possible to fix the special cultural meanings of the costume code objectified in the dialect language. Conclusion. The vocabulary of the dialects of the Middle Ob, objectifying the costume code, is considered as a set of culturally significant units, in the semantics of which there is a cultural connotation. 5547 | The article focuses on the analysis of syntactic organization of epistolary texts from the perspective of regulativity theory, developed in the framework of the communicative style of the text – a new and promising direction of functional stylistics. Regulativity is understood as the ability to manage through the text the reader’s cognitive activity. The key thesis advocates judgment that the regulativity as a universal text-forming feature has specifics of its manifestation in the letters – the most relevant for the type of epistolary texts, due to the peculiarities of epistolary communication sphere. The factors determining the specificity of epistolary regulativity include: distance character of communication between the addresser and the addressee, bound by the written form of verbal contact, the special role of extralinguistic factors (аuthor of the target installation, the nature of the relationship communicants, thematic and situational context, genre form), informality and ease of dialogue, his lack of preparation, automatism, spontaneity. We should particularly mention the factor of polidiscursivity of epistolary. For the material served the private letters of the representatives of Russian creative intelligentzia of the ХХ century (M. V. Nesterov, F. I. Chaliapin, V. I. Vernadsky, M. I. Tsvetaeva, Yu. M. Lotman, V. S. Vysotsky, D. D. Shostakovich), characterized by the presence in their speech of the rich palette of regulatory assets and syntactic structures. This is largely due to the brightness of the personalities of the communicants, originality of idiostyle of each addressee and syncretic and stylistic properties of their letters. Among the most significant regulatory syntactic means include: simple, one-piece, incomplete, exclamatory and interrogative sentences, homogeneous terms, word order, and various forms of transfer of another’s speech. 5549 | In the XXI century sport begins to return the position which it lost at the end of the last century. The Olympic Games-2014 in Sochi, the introduction of GTO (Ready for Labor and Defense ) standards (especially for schoolchildren and students) and the additional points for admission to universities for the delivery of these norms, various sporting events of the regional level – all these things make an impact on the formation of the positive sport’s image among the modern youth. In accordance with this indicator, we have established the percentage of students of higher and secondary education who are engaged in physical culture and sports. We used the technique of the linguistic and cognitive modeling of the concept’s maintenance. We developed the reference points of the sport’s image model on the basis of results of an associative experiment. From the positions of cognitive linguistics it is possible to offer the following definition of the sport’s image: sport’s image is a mental construct formed by means of information influence for the purpose of fixing in the picture of the world of the addressee of a steady set of representations and associations connected with sport. The results of the experiment allow to draw a conclusion that in language consciousness of the native speakers the concept has more values, than it is described in the dictionaries. The results of the associative experiment and the poll allow us to offer the following reference points for modeling of the sport’s image. 1. It is necessary to use the words connected with the concept for the concept’s verbalization in the different types of the propaganda materials designed for young people. 2. It is worth thinking of development of the parallel advertizing campaigns designed for different target audiences taking into account gender aspect. 3. Such way of formation of the image as involvement in this activity of the famous athletes, in this case seems to us demanding a further research.
