2008 | The article deals with the intonation of emphatic (highly emotional) speech of the modern Russian literary language with the purpose of revealing innovations in the intonation. The research is carried out on the performances staged in the State Academic Maly Theatre. We have analyzed 15 hours of sounding speech which allowed us to discover all the variety of the intonation patterns in the modern Russian language. As a result of the carried out research, we have revealed the following changes in the intonation of the modern Russian language: a great number of the occurrence of the mid-level ending in final sense-groups and the use of the high-narrow rise at the end of declarative and exclamatory sentences. We give a detailed consideration to the occurrence and meanings of these intonation endings combined with various scales. In addition to that, we first observe the use of the fall-rise in emphatic speech of the modern Russian language, as well as the use of the gradually ascending stepping scale, the descending scandent and sliding scales. Thus, the present research shows that the intonation of emphatic speech of the modern Russian language is much more colourful than it has been described before. The obtained results make a contribution to the suprasegmental phonetics and can be applied by the Russian teachers in practice, and they can also be of great use for foreign students learning the Russian intonation. 2011 | There are various different descriptions of Randall-Sundrum (RS) braneworlds. Here we present a unified view of the braneworld based on the gradient expansion approach. In the case of the single-brane model, we reveal the relation between the geometrical and the AdS/CFT approach. It turns out that the high energy and the Weyl term corrections found in the geometrical approach merge into the CFT matter correction found in the AdS/CFT approach. We also clarify the role of the radionin the two-brane system. 2027 | The morphological structure of the above-ground part of the cane areas of the plant 24 local populations Hedysarum gmelinii Ledeb., grown in the Mountainous Altai and Khakassia, was studied. A complex adaptive morphological traits and the degree of influence of the factor of adaptation of plants to different heights above sea level (from 300 to 2200 m ) on their variability in plants of this species are revealed. According to variance and regression analyses, adjusting to the increasing height above sea level in H. gmelinii inhibition of the intercalary meristem growth is shown. When climbing structure shoots varies significantly, but the transformation in plants is minor. The changes in above-ground parts of shoots ensure the preservation of particular role in cenosis and reproductive capacity, together with other peculiarities of structure in plants H. gmelinii in mountain conditions. 2028 | The article deals with family image as a key notion of the Russian and Tajik culture on the material of advertising texts. Ontological (health, safety, physical comfort of family members), evaluating (joy, happiness, wishes on the one hand and dissatisfaction because of pernicious habit and absence of psychological comfort on the other hand) and social (full/not full family with children/without children/with adopted children) signs of the family notion are revealed in contrasted languages. The results of associative experiment and questionnaire defined the peculiarities of Russian informants’ family perception, which is rather traditional and based on the values of love and children. The Tajik linguistic culture is connected with parents respect, children care, family’s support and co-operative life with parents. The main members of Tajik family are parents on conditions that they live together with their son’s family. Children have to do as elder family members tell them and do the same they ask. A head of a family is unconditionally a man. According to questionnaire with Russian and Tajik informants it was defined that family image which is used in advertising influence the product’s choice mainly by Tajik customers (75 % as against 20 % of Russian customers). Tajik advertisement is aimed at informing people about such kinds of product as food, furniture, jewelry, service of wedding salon whereas Russian advertising informs the customers about food, medicine, clothes and footwear, beauty salons, washing materials. The most part of Tajik advertising refers to social advertisement. The Russian linguistic culture of family is based on health care, physical and material wellbeing, conditions of life, and family image in Tajik linguistic culture is connected with care for life conditions and attention to wife’s wishes, and with up-to-date social problems in Tajikistan. 2029 | Introduction. Having emerged as a tool of linguistic analysis, the corpus is now actively interpreted in terms of language learning. It allows us to speak about the formation of a new direction in humanitarian education – corpus teaching. Material and methods. The article deals with the consideration of the сorpus methodical potential in the field of student’s research work organization. It demonstrates the problem and project exercises that can be used in the practice of teaching the Russian language and the disciplines of the cycle “Modern Russian Language” (spelling, morphology, lexicology, orthology, etc.). The main target audience of the tasks are philology students, though with some adaptations they can be applied in the Russian language school course as well. Results and discussion. The presented tasks are aimed to the analysis of such phenomena as genus changing of nouns, polysemy, borrowed vocabulary, neologisms, the establishment of the words authorship and time of their appear in the language, outdated vocabulary and thematic groups using corpus data. To solve the tasks, students need to use such tools of the Russian National Corpus as lexico-grammatical search, search by semantic markup, ordering the results by date of creation, setting the sub-corpus and showing statistical information. In some tasks, the use of the corpus is combined with reference to the traditional means of learning – the dictionary. Comparison of vocabulary and corpus information allows to combine regulatory and customary approaches to the study of language and significantly expand the student’s understanding of it. The author describes the search mechanics needed to complete the tasks and gives methodological comments on the estimated results of the students and the teacher’s actions. The commentary is structured so that the reader could easily see the discussion potential of the educational material. The source for the tasks described in the article was the Russian National Corpus. Conclusion. In the end, the author draws conclusions about the pedagogical specificity of the corpus. According to the author, the corpus is an effective base for the implementation of the problem-based learning method and the project method, and its use allows students to look at the language as a living, mobile organism.
