4802 | The article analyzes figurative words and expressions that show the metaphorical character of dishes. The analysis is based on the theory of figurative language and combines the semasiological and cognitive approaches to the description of figurative language units that implement conceptual metaphorical and metonymic models through the system of their meanings. The motivating names for figurative words and expressions are 52 units including diminutives and word-formation: bottle, fork, spoon, mixer, bowl, knife, pepper, glass, plate, cup, etc. These names motivate 225 figurative lexical and phraseological units: “bochka” (very fat person), “kuvshinka” (waterlily), “kak myska” (about round and convex shape of something), “proyti kak nozh skvoz’ maslo” (easily, without difficulty), etc. Described figurative words and expressions represent metaphorical projection from the source-sphere “Dishes” to the 9 target-spheres (“Person”, “Artifacts”, “Nature facts”, “Social phenomena”, “Space” and others) associated with the figurative characteristic of the physical and non-material world, each of which is described in the article in detail. The greatest number of figurative words and expressions denote the phenomenon of reference to the following areas: “Person” (80 units), “Artifacts” (62 units), “Social phenomena” (46 units), “Nature facts” (16 units). The final part of the article is devoted to the lexicographic description of figurative vocabulary that reflects metaphorization of dishes in the Russian language and includes examples of dictionary entries. 4803 | In the article the issues of penitentiary staff training during the first years of the Soviet government are revealed. These issues are of concern for research as one of the underworked topics in native science. The author focuses on the events connected with it, on historical and pedagogical experience, trials and errors of pioneers of Soviet penitentiary staff training system. Chronological boundaries of the article are determined by the major events of Russian history, which were highly influential on the process of professional penitentiary staff training. The lowest boundary begins in October 1917 with inauguration of Bolshevik regime. The highest is connected with the Second Congress of penitentiary affairs officials of the RSFSR held from November to December 1924, after the agreements of which systematic solutions of the issues of Soviet penitentiary staff training became possible since the second half of 1920s. The first agreements of the government during the first years of Bolshevik regime concerning penitentiary personnel policy and shifting penitentiary priorities are revealed. The central place in the article is devoted to the revealing of external and domestic factors undermining the professional penitentiary staff training and having a negative impact on the possibilities of penitentiary personnel policy in that period. The conclusion about the role of the first educational endeavors’ of Soviet government in foundation of the Soviet system of penitentiary staff training is stated. 4804 | The article deals with analysis of the professional language personality of Natalia O’Shea – a singer, musician, songwriter and leader of the rock-group “Mel’nitsa” (The Mill). The material of research is the texts of the interviews (2004–2017 years). The author of the article describes in detail the three levels of the artist’s professional language personality: 1) the level of professional consciousness; 2) the verbal level; 3) the motivating and pragmatical level. The texts of the interviews give knowledge about N. O’Shea’s views of nature of creative work, things which inspire the artist, her musical and general erudition. Natalia O’Shea considers her creative work as a complicated subjective process of connection of individual impressions and emotions with allusions to literary works, fairytales and myths. The artist compares songwriting with stained-glass window creation, cultivation of flower etc. She notes that her activity as a musician is tightly connected with her scientific interests in philology. Natalia O’Shea knows terminology of music very well. In her stories about songwriting and recording of songs, playing the musical instruments the artist uses not only professional lexis, but different expressive means of language. There are a lot of onyms and a number of citations in speech of the artist. This research is interesting for linguopersonology and communicative stylistics of text. 4805 | The paper discusses the compositional semantics of adjective-noun combinations like fake gun. Compositionality appears to be one of the most cognitively basic principles guiding semantic research. This study argues the claim of formal semantics that the meaning of an expression is a function of the meanings of its parts and of the way they are syntactically combined. The article adduces support for the claim that the meaning of the whole cannot be predicted from the meanings of the parts and the way they are put together. The investigation makes an attempt to find the relations between formally integrated linguistic structure and conceptually integrated structures. The adjective fake is seen as privative for which an instance of the adjective + noun combination is never an instance of the noun alone. Complexes with fake entail the negation of the noun modified by fake. The paper accounts for the meaning of adjective-noun combinations in terms of conceptual integration. Within the framework of mental spaces theory the adjective fake prompts for a specific complex mapping scheme and emerges a novel conceptual blend. In terms of conceptual blending the adjective fake calls for two input spaces with a disanalogy connector such that an element in one place is real, but in the other is not. The article highlights combinatorial possibilities of fake. Of particular concern is the issue that the appropriate use of fake requires the activation of an appropriate frame. 4806 | The paper looks at the “Campus courses of TSU” project and describes it as one of the methods for organizing selective courses for students. The project was developed by the project group of the Center of education quality development, including O. N. Kalachikova, P. Kiseleva , A. Morozova, A. Balabanova. It is implemented in the National Research Tomsk State University from the 2015 academic year. Unlike traditional elective courses, Campus courses mean having a general catalog of courses in different subjects, regardless of the student’s faculty and specialization. The paper presents the results of this survey-based analysis and show that most of the students lack the opportunity to develop their general cultural competences and communicative skills as well as artistic creativity, and all that serves as motivation to attend selective courses. It was established that most of the students make careful choice of courses. The variety of courses and activities allows students to fulfill their educational ambitions. It was revealed that the majority of students are satisfied with the quality of the courses, the form of conducting classes, the interaction with the teacher. 4807 | Introduction. The article is devoted to the problem of the lack of textual solutions that meet the emotional needs of modern students in school visual space. Texts in the educational space of schools are a flexible, multifunctional tool with which one can not only make the school more attractive, but also is able to conduct dialogue with students and their families. This dialogue is aimed to form loyalty to the rules of interaction between the individual and society, norms of environmental behavior and disposition of their resources, respect for other people; subjective position in educational activity. Materials and methods. The materials of the study were photos and videos of visual environment elements of modern Russian schools. The main method used in the process of researching text-based solutions in the space of educational institutions is qualitative and quantitative analysis. In some cases, the subject of analysis was not only images, but also texts. The article proposes a classification of visual solutions used in the school space (8 types of texts) and describes the method of group interviews as a tool for studying school visual solutions. Fixation and attribution of school texts was carried out in collaboration with students - teenagers. Results and discussion. The study reveals the content, style and authorship of interior design elements in modern Russian school. The article substantiates the possibility of using the process of creating “school texts” for the development of “flexible skills” of students. The modern visual environment of the Russian school is largely focused on the “preservation” of the traditional school structure, which provides a formalized perception of the school as a place where “educational activities are organized”, and the life and development of a person’s personality does not occur. Conclusion. To develop and implement these solutions, it makes sense to combine the efforts of specialists in the field of design, pedagogy, ergonomic psychology, philology and linguistics. The results of the study indicate a shortage of professional solutions in the design of modern school space. The article suggests ways to overcome these deficits in the framework of interaction between participants in the educational process. 4822 | The communicative and pragmatic research of individual media discourse of Viktor Erofeev, contemporary Russian writer, the presenter of author’s cultural and entertaining TV program “Apokrif” on the channel “Culture”, was presented. Author-presenter’s professional speech behavior organizes his individual media discourse, determining the holistic well-known journalist’s image in circumstances of current discursive practice. At the same time specific peculiarities of his informational and media language personality’s idiostyle are reflected in television journalists’s individual media discourse. Analysis of individual media discourse of TV presenter is based on the criteria, which were described by the author. The linguistic and paralinguistic (phonational and kinetic) characteristics of communicative behavior of informational and media language personality of TV presenter-writer, as well as extralinguistic factors determining the specificity of the media environment, were described. The results of the research of the features of the language personality of Viktor Erofeev with the use of separate elements of the software system “VAAL” are presented. The means of quantitative content analysis identified the thematic groups of words most often used by the TV presenter. The analysis of Victor Erofeev’s speech from the point of view of the use of emotionally colored words (“emotional-lexical” estimations) is presented. The results of the linguistic projective test of Cattell are described. These results with a probability of 70–90 % characterize the psychological characteristics of the personality of Viktor Erofeev. The author aims at a scientific justification and description of practical ways to use video resources to increase motivation for learning foreign languages among students of technical universities. Material and methods. The work is based on the provisions of regulatory documents that determine the guidelines for teaching foreign languages in technical universities, the provisions of the technology of working with video resources, which is especially relevant in language education today, and the methodological focus of the organization of teaching the discipline “Foreign Language in Professional Activities”. The author works out and implements a complex of foreign language lessons with the use of video resources for students and carries out a methodical experiment aiming at estimating the method efficiency for increasing technical university students’ motivation to foreign languages learning. Results and discussion. Following the technology of video resources use in the learning process the author presents the stages of the work organization and gives the examples of the tasks on each of the stages for the students in the field of technical specialties. The article presents the methodical experiment results which prove the efficiency of video resources use for increasing students’ motivation to learning a foreign language. The author also mentions the conditions of organization of such work with students which gives positive results. Conclusions. The work with video resources in the digital age is an efficient way of technical university students` motivating to learning the foreign language for both general and specific purposes. 4832 | The influence of the proteins adsorbed on the red blood cells membranes on the bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) parameters of the erythrocyte suspensions was studied. The suspensions of the erythrocytes treated and untreated with trypsin were estimated. The BIS parameters: extracellular (Re) and intracellular (Ri) fluid resistance, characteristic frequency (Fchar), cell membranes capacitance (Cm) and Alpha parameter of the suspensions were measured on the BIA analyzer ABC-01 «Medass». It was found that Ri and Cm of the suspensions of treated erythrocyte were lower than that of the untreated one. So the proteins adsorbed on the membrane surface influence the BIS parameters. 4844 | The subject of this paper is the problem of the author’s dramatic plot. It is the designation of the appraisal and from – without – vision peculiarities of the story depicted by the author. These peculiarities tell the playwright both from the other authors interpreting the same plot situation and from the hero having his own comprehension of what is going on from within the dramatic situation. Besides Chekhov’s plot is not just the author’s plot. It is plot of special typology. The main function of heroes in it is not the action but the personality’s understanding of his present, past and future. On these grounds the integral world picture only appears on interaction of the position in vision and appraisal of the story by the characters from the reader’s/spectator’s position. As a result, the world model expressing the individual peculiarities of the author’s life conception is recreated on the territory of the reader’s consciousness. The playwrights of the 70th–early 80th of the 20th century typologically created the plots similar to Chekhov’s ones. But it is important that the authors used his elements as well – the situations keeping the author’s vision, heroes, with the help of which Chekhov’s world model appeared in his time. It allows us to speak about the working – out of Chekhov’s plot as “someone else’s”. In the final analysis, Chekhov’s plot has some prognostic functions. It sets the direction of the modern history movement, predicts key events. At the same time the unjustified of plot expectations allows the playwrights to designate, first of all, their own life understanding different from Chekhov’s; secondly, the principal lack of coincidence of their time and Chekhov’s time. Only in the situation of recognizing Chekhov’s heroes and situation become “the codes” allowing to decode the modern dramatic story, to reveal the plurality of its meanings, the individuality of the author’s position. In its turn, new meanings of Chekhov’s plot appear in the new author’s and time context. Forest landscapes have deep mythopoetic framework, based on important Prishvin’s idea the one, indissoluble relationship and mutual reversibility between man and natural world surrounding him. The interconversion of man and nature creates perspective of a mythological panorama. In the analyzed description of the works of Mikhail Prishvin are found archetypal motives and mythologems that contribute to the mythopoetic creation of the topos of the forest. The mythmaking by M. 4848 | The verbs denoting independent movement on a firm surface in the Taz, central and southern dialects of the Selkup language are considered. In the dialects of the Selkup language the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion is represented by a significant amount of the verbs describing various ways of the movement, its nature, general orientation against the speaker, conditions in which this movement occurs, etc. There is a relatively little number of polysemantic verbs among the verbs of movement in the dialects of the Selkup language and the number of meanings of verbs is insignificant as well. Most Selkup verbs of motion (60 %) are monosemantic, about 60 % of meanings do not repeat, i.e. they are peculiar to one verb of motion. In the Selkup lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion the synonymic relations are poorly developed in comparison with Russian in spite of the fact that among the verbs of motion in the Selkup language the synonymy is more developed than in other lexico-semantic groups of the studied language. The verb qənqo is the central element of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the Taz dialect of the Selkup language. The semantics of this verb does not include the description of conditions in which the movement occurs, its direction, way and mode. The verbs čāǯįgu and kwangu are the central elements of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the southern and central dialects of the Selkup language. Description of the general direction of the movement (making nearer or farther) and orientation in space is the most essential thing for the Selkup verbs of motion. There are several specifics of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the dialects of the Selkup language: existence of the space-oriented verbs; the verbs denoting movements in space made by means of certain devices / vehicles; almost full incompatibility of the verbs of motion with the abstract nouns and nouns denoting objects, incapable of the independent movement. The movement and the ability to the movement is a marker of animateness, on the basis of this marker representatives of the Selkup ethnos differentiate animated and inanimate, i.e. alive and dead. 4849 | The article considers the material and technical support service of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army during the fighting near Lake Khasan from July 29 to August 11, 1938, in particular, the chronology of the transport service activities and the problems in organizing the delivery of ammunition, food, engineering materials and other materials necessary for combat operations. The problem of material support of troops is closely examined in the key of the Soviet-Finnish war and the Great Patriotic War. At the same time, little attention is paid to previous conflicts: the conflict on the Chinese Eastern railway, fighting at Lake Khasan and the conflict on the Khalkhin-Gol river, although they had a significant impact on the structure of the material support service. In 1939 the final Field Charter of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army was adopted, in which the main functions of combat and material support services were registered. The purpose of this article is to study the actions of the transport service from various points of view: from the organization of the delivery of ammunition to the organization of roads to the site of the fights. Before the start of the fighting, the only road reached Novo-Kievskoe village (since 1936, Kraskino), but it was also washed away by downpours going in the region at this time of the year. There was no land road from Novo-Kievskoye to Lake Khasan; it was built after the end of the fighting. The organization of material support in the area of Lake Khasan showed the resilience and readiness of Soviet people to resist foreign aggression, but at the same time it revealed significant shortcomings that existed in one form or another until the middle of the Great Patriotic War, which shows that despite the appearance of errors, nobody took proper measures to eliminate them. Some languages have special means, while others use informal indicators.The Russian language belongs to the languages having no article, and consequently, the absence of morphological indicators of this category in the Russian language makes it difficult for native speakers of the Persian language learners of Russian. As a result, there are considerable difficulties in understanding the meaning of certainty and uncertainty in Russian. This necessitates a comparative analysis of the means and ways of expressing the category of uncertainty in the Russian and Persian languages. This study focuses on the description of the means of expression of the indifferent uncertainty in the Russian language and ways of transmission of its semantic shades in the Persian language taking into account the specifics of the expression of the category of uncertainty in the Persian language.
