Statistical analysis of the data obtained in the ascertaining step permitted to identify the significant differences, allowing to define the psychological characteristics of personal-professional development of pedagogical high school students with different levels of self-management ability. It is necessary for the students with low levels to form a horizontal self-management structure, which includes the eight stages: analysis of contradictions, forecasting, goalsetting, formation of criteria, quality assessment, making decision, monitoring, correction. 1508 | The article touches upon the problem of verbal representation of “civilization/barbarism” dichotomy in political discourse. The research aims at exploring conceptual metaphors and metonymies verbalizing the concepts which model the development of civilizations of Great Britain and the USA during the period of the First and the Second world wars. The research is based on P. Buchanan’s “Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War”. The methods employed include component, definition and conceptual types of analysis, metaphor modelling and critical discourse analysis. Complex analysis consisting of metaphor modelling, conceptual, definition and component types of analysis presents the following results: metaphor models (Civilization as Personality, Civilization as Expansivity, Civilization as Self-control, Barbarism as Degradation) verbalize the concepts of “civilization” and “barbarism” in a certain cultural-historic context. The identification of concomitant metaphors and metonymies (Great Britain as Cow, Great Britain as Great Lady, Great Britain as Debtor, Great Britain as Slattern the USA as Sheriff, Dresden etc.) verifies the data obtained. Moreover, the investigation explores the role of metonymy Great Britain is the USA as motivator for dynamic processes in discourse. The method of critical discourse analysis which considers discourse as a phenomenon constituting social practice establishes connections between discursive practice and historic events. 1509 | The article deals with effectiveness of using non-traditional means within the third hour of physical education in schools, actualizes the need of searching and using new means previously not used, especially the means of parkour with the aim of correction of motivation of schoolchildren to physical education, especially in teenage period. In this period, there are significant changes in the emotional and volitional sphere of schoolchildren. Parkour allows them to be bold and at the same time to express themselves. A well-organized learning process allows to implement these internal requirements while minimizing possible risks. The authors described experimental method of application of means of parkour, and the results of its implementation in the educational process. Presented and described changes in motivation indices, indicators of physical fitness, as well as changes in the motivational structure of the schoolchildren who participated in the experiment. Based on the results of the study were made the conclusions about the advisability of continuing the use of means of parkour at the lessons of physical education. Since the theme of the use of parkour means during the lessons of physical training has not been studied yet in the Russian Federation, the findings are of theoretical and practical significance for its further development and use. 1510 | Introduction. Having emerged as a tool of linguistic analysis, the corpus is now actively interpreted in terms of language learning. It allows us to speak about the formation of a new direction in humanitarian education – corpus teaching. Material and methods. The article deals with the consideration of the сorpus methodical potential in the field of student’s research work organization. It demonstrates the problem and project exercises that can be used in the practice of teaching the Russian language and the disciplines of the cycle “Modern Russian Language” (spelling, morphology, lexicology, orthology, etc.). The main target audience of the tasks are philology students, though with some adaptations they can be applied in the Russian language school course as well. Results and discussion. The presented tasks are aimed to the analysis of such phenomena as genus changing of nouns, polysemy, borrowed vocabulary, neologisms, the establishment of the words authorship and time of their appear in the language, outdated vocabulary and thematic groups using corpus data. To solve the tasks, students need to use such tools of the Russian National Corpus as lexico-grammatical search, search by semantic markup, ordering the results by date of creation, setting the sub-corpus and showing statistical information. In some tasks, the use of the corpus is combined with reference to the traditional means of learning – the dictionary. Comparison of vocabulary and corpus information allows to combine regulatory and customary approaches to the study of language and significantly expand the student’s understanding of it. The author describes the search mechanics needed to complete the tasks and gives methodological comments on the estimated results of the students and the teacher’s actions. The commentary is structured so that the reader could easily see the discussion potential of the educational material. The source for the tasks described in the article was the Russian National Corpus. Conclusion. In the end, the author draws conclusions about the pedagogical specificity of the corpus. According to the author, the corpus is an effective base for the implementation of the problem-based learning method and the project method, and its use allows students to look at the language as a living, mobile organism. The importance of harmonizing existing and new approaches to practice-oriented training for forming bachelors’ social competence sphere as a practice-oriented construct is emphasized.
