Fridman Dzhon ECHOES OF DOSTOEVSKY AND BLOK IN NIKOLAI ERDMAN’S “THE SUICIDE” // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2011. Issue 7 (109). P. 19-26

Customarily one speaks of the influence that great Russian playwrights like Gogol, Sukhovo-Kobylin and Ostrovsky had on Nikolai Erdman. But it can be shown that Erdman also knew well the works of other classic writers, such as Fyodor Dostoevsky and Alexander Blok. This becomes clear when conducting even a simple analysis of Dostoevsky’s “The Devils,” Blok’s famous essays on revolution and Erdman’s “The Suicide.” Dostoevsky’s Kirillov and Erdman’s Podsekalnikov are both individuals that others seek to push into the act of committing suicide for the general good. By the same token, one can even find the germ of the basic plot complication in Erdman’s play in one of Blok’s essays. Any of Erdman’s characters who have a vested interest in Podsekalnikov’s death could easily have uttered this phrase from Blok: “How can I object to a person who has been driven to suicide by the demands of individualism, demonism, aesthetics or, finally, the most concrete, most banal need of despair and anguish?” The point, however, is not so much that we can find echoes reverberating among the works of Erdman, Dostoevsky and Blok, but rather that these echoes allow us to determine that Erdman’s task in writing “The Suicide” was far greater than just to write a satire. In “The Suicide” Erdman created his own artistic universe which embodies his own unique philosophical world view.

The demand of the state for the formation in children the sense of participation in the Russian history and culture is now solved by the system of education, including the Additional Education. As an effective form of extracurricular work, it is a favorable sphere for the co-creation of a child and a teacher in the formation of the culture of pupils. The culture of the Mezenskiy region and the struggle of the Russian people for the preservation of the originality of the painting of the North of Russia are considered. The role of traditional writing while studying the subjects of culture is noted as a way of understanding the art culture of the North of Russia, the way of transferring the national traditions to the next generations for the progress of human culture. The purpose of the complex of classes on “Mezenskaya Painting” is to develop the artistic culture among the students of the Children’s Art School. The tasks of the classes, the content of the study assignment, the results of mastering the knowledge of the students in the sections of the topic under consideration are presented. The activity aspect of studying a topic is considered as the basis for involvement of students in creativity, developmet of the ability to create compositions based on the Northern painting in question. The stages of comprehension by the students of the topic, the solution of teaching, developing and educating tasks are presented. The results of testing of the students at the beginning and the end of the study of the topic are presented. There is a dynamic in cognition, development of students. It is noted that the study of the topic promotes the development of the artistic culture of students. The fulfillment of the task of this topic also contributes to the formation of creative abilities, artistic taste of students and is a feasible contribution of the younger generation in preserving the traditions of the mezenskaya painting and its popularization.

The use of situational problems in the study of methods of teaching chemistry at a pedagogical university is described, and their significance in training of students for professional activity is characterized. The definition and the structure of the situational task is given, its components are singled out. Specific features of differentiated questions to the texts of situational tasks and their use in the training process is described, the character of the cognitive activity of the students when performing different tasks are singled out, specific examples of tasks are given. The availability of the content of the tasks for students, the features of the choice of differentiated tasks, the conditions for their fulfillment, as well as the students’ interest in creative cognitive activity are revealed on the basis of the questionnaire. The tasks of the first level are aimed at reproduction of theoretical knowledge, in the process of their implementation, the reproductive nature of students’ activity prevails.. These tasks are used to repeat theoretical material in practical exercises, seminars or remotely. They contribute to the formation of practical skills and the skills in drawing up summaries of lessons and didactic materials. Tasks of the second level of complexity allow you to integrate materials from different educational areas, which are necessary to solve certain situations. When performing such tasks, the partial search character of students’ cognitive activity predominates and practical skills and skills in developing and compiling methodological materials are improved. Tasks of the third level of complexity develop the ability to analyze information, generalize and systematize it, draw conclusions based on the initial data and justify them. At the same time, there is a deepening and further development of the skills in developing didactic materials, taking into account modern requirements for school chemical education. When performing such tasks, the search activity, creative and authorial approach dominates and the originality in their solution is manifested.

The results of investigations of the surface modification and alloying of metallic materials with the low-energy (up to 40 keV), high-current (up to 40 J/cm2) electron beams (LEHCEB’s) of microsecond duration are presented. The results of simulation of non-stationary temperature fields induced in the LEHCEB’s affected zone are given. The particularities of the structure – phase transformations into the surface layers of irradiated materials are considered. It is shown that the irradiation in the surface melting and initial evaporation modes allows to decrease noticeably the surface roughness and to clean it of harmful impurities. In the near-surface layers quenched from the melt the metastable structure – phase states are formed. These states in the aggregate with the surface smoothing and cleaning provide the enhancement of some surface-sensitive properties, such as, electric strength of vacuum gaps with electrodes made of austenitic stainless steel, fatigue properties of titanium alloys, wear resistance of high-speed steel and hard metals. Main purpose of weight regulation in sport is to get advantages in power in comparison to rivals in the concrete weight category during competitions. The purpose of study was to develop and ground practicability of forming readiness of wrestlers to competitions in the limits of the elected weight category, directed to the achievement of the increased emulative capacity to work. Within the framework of the scientific study was determined that regulation of weight among athletes is a pedagogical problem, however in sport biopedagogical regulation of weight is used. By experimental way rational borders of reducing weight were determined , the factors of advantage in power on weight categories and formula of calculating advantage in power by reducing weight into the concrete weight category were concluded. Designed and by experienced-experimental way were approved strategies of reducing weight and recovering the power possibilities of athlete after before-competition regulation of weight by preparing and participation in competitions.

Modern state of scientific studies of the theme “Higher School in Siberia in the Late of 1950s – early 1990s” is reflected in the article. In this respect the historiography of the problem is analyzed, which is represented by generalizing and special papers: group work, monographies, some articles, speeches and conference reports. The analysis of publications gives us a chance to come to the conclusion that scientific studies, specially devoted to the development of higher school in Siberia in the abovementioned territorial and chronological framework are practically not investigated.

Glagolev Mikhail Vladimirovich, Kleptsova Irina Evgenyevna METHANE EMISSION IN THE FOREST-TUNDRA: TOWARDS THE «STANDARD MODEL» (AA2) FOR WEST SIBERIA // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2009. Issue 3 (81). P. 77-81

The paper describes a conception of “standard model” for methane emission from the mires of West Siberia. The “standard model” is a complex of (i) methane flux probability densities distributions for typical ecosystems of all natural zones, (ii) period of CH4 emission for all zones, and (iii) fraction of wetland area for all zones. We present experimental data (methane fluxes in forest-tundra) which are the components of “standard model” Aa1. The medians of methane fluxes from palsе, oligotrophic hollows, peat mats and poor fens are 0,14, 1,12, 11,86 and 1,28 mgC•m-2•h-1 accordingly. All abovementioned values relate only to “period of methane emission” which is 120 days in forest tundra.

Tynyanov’s conception concerning «Yevgeniy Onegin» (not the motion of events but the motion of verbal masses) laid the foundation for making theoretical assumptions on message forming components of the text which are exhaustively presented in the book «The problem of Poetry Language». The concept differentiation structures of the poetic language such as unity and closeness of the verse series, dynamism of speech material, successive process of speech in verses suggested by Tynyanov in his «The problem…» represent Onegin’s text as a new form of poetic novel and within it – the conceptual status of the word deformed by verse. The paper deals with the instances of contiguity of «The problem of Poetry Language» to Pushkin’s novel implicitly forming the perspectives of investigating poetry semantics.
