The article deals with the theoretical problem of readiness for written translation within the frame of lingua sociocultural approach in translation teaching. The tendency to linguistic economy resulted in the enormous amount of abbreviations. Their number is increasingly growing in medical science. Being short and capacious these lexical units are hard to be perceived and translated. Professional translation is early sought in all fields. But it’s the most urgent in medicine for it must be based on the accuracy of information, accuracy and competence of professional operations as well as the feeling of high responsibility of each professional in a definite field of practical science.Thus a demand for the study, regulation and adequate translation of abbreviated terms has aroused. It contributes to the professional medical communication. This article is devoted to the study of acronyms and homoacronyms used in current medical literature. The study is done in the line of nominative and cognitive investigation. The method of continuous sampling of medical acronyms and homoacronyms from medical scientific articles and dictionaries as well as the method of structural, typological and semantic analysis. As a result of English periodical medical publications and specialized dictionaries review the authors have identified several categories of acronyms and homoacronyms. The article presents an original classification of these lexical units and reviews the means of their translation. Performed typological analysis allows to single out eleven categories of medical acronyms and homoacronyms. The largest groups consist of the abbreviations which include names of anatomical structures, symptoms and syndromes.

The article is devoted to slang units as a component of one of the sub-strata, which are present in every national language and comprehended by linguists at the level of the language system, and from the point of view of the functioning within certain areas of interpersonal and social communication. The subject of the study is the jargon, manifesting the specifics of the speech activity of the Chinese youth. The linguocultural angle of attention allows to explore the extra-literary lexicon of this category with the reference to manifestations of national culture. Substantiates the definition of jargon as linguocultural units that represent the specificity of a particular linguistic culture primarily in the context of intercultural interaction. It is noted that the study of certain strata of vocabulary as linguistic markers of national culture is relevant today in the context of the observed expansion of international relations and multicultural space communications, as well as the entry of humanity in the era of globalization and widespread information. The system of Chinese youth slang is traditionally exposed to the sublanguage differing stylistic markedness in relation to the literary norm. The use of slang words and expressions in China is characterized by centuries-old tradition, which in the light of their study in the aspect linguocultural mainstream is defined as one of the most important tasks of linguists.

Authors studied an impact of selective ligands of cannabinoid (CB) receptors on the contractility of the isolated perfused rat heart during global ischemia and reperfusion. A perfusion by solution containing the selective CB-agonist HU-210 exacerbated a cardiac contractility dysfunction. This cannabinoid decreased the left ventricular developed pressure, the maximal rate of contraction and relaxation of the heart during reperfusion but had no effect on the heart rate and the end diastolic pressure. Negative inotropic effect of HU-210 was transient and disappeared after 5 min reperfusion. The pretreatment with the selective CB1 receptor antagonist SR141716A and the selective CB2 receptor antagonist SR144528 had no effect on the myocardial contractility during reperfusion. In conclusion, the present results indicate that CB receptor stimulation can exacerbate reperfusion contractility dysfunction of the heart. Endogenous cannabinoids are not involved in the development of myocardial contractility dysfunction during ischemia/reperfusion of the heart.

The article represents the results of the empirical research devoted to a problem of interage interaction of teenagers. Interage interaction is considered by theoretical positions of social constructionist and social identity theories. It is shown, that teenagers are characterized by a high level of age tolerance which influences current of interaction with those age groups, which have limited experience of interaction (children and older persons). The interaction with other social groups is based on other social categorizations, besides age. The basis of subjective differentiation to estimations of interaction with various age groups is the status-role inequality of these groups.

The article is devoted to the study of the Turkic vocabulary in the Russian dialects of the Middle-Ob in the 17th century. It is found out that this vocabulary is a feature of the frontier language continuum appeared in the 17th century, the influence of the Tatar languages and dialects is the strongest. Unpublished archive materials were also used for the study.

The article deals with social-pedagodical activity of the Tomsk doctor V. P. Pirussky in children’s sanatorium colonies organization, which turned out to be modern summer camps prototypes. Questions of all the year round educational, developing and socializing work with children in riding academies and city winter and summer grounds are reported; original pedagogic ideas of the scientist that foresaw a lot of achievements of the next decades in school and out of school education are revealed and summed up in the article.
