The research concerns the problems of applying textbooks with online components in the organization of selfguided work of students learning foreign languages at non-linguistic universities under modern conditions. We believe that the competences described in the Federal State Standard of Higher Education can not be fully developed in students lacking the necessary knowledge of a foreign language after finishing their secondary education. One more relevant problem arises here, the one of the equalization of the initial level of students’ language skills. The institutions of higher education used to solve this problem by running a correction course, but due to the reduction in the amount of contact hours, we believe it is advisable to organize such work outside the classroom. Such changes will require a careful choice of textbooks. Therefore, we suggest applying a model of work with English textbooks having online components in the organization of students’ self-guided work. We analyze the results of the experiment aimed at the approbation of the technique in question and illustrate them by the statistical data obtained by testing the experimental and control groups. We prove that most language skills improve considerably due to the use of computer learning. Moreover, this pedagogical technique contributes to growing motivation and results in developing necessary competences prescribed by the State standard.

Сareful study of the rich experience of the Russian and Soviet higher schools is required in modern conditions of reforming the Russian educational system. Such a study will allow to take into account the mistakes of the past and to find the roots of modern problems, and also to formulate the most optimal ways of the current modernization. The need to study the dynamics of the development of the Soviet higher school is due to the scientific and historical relevance of the topic. Analysis of statistical data, archival records management showed that the development of higher education in the USSR in the 1970s and 1980s was ambiguous and contradictory. On the one hand, during this period there is an increase in the quantitative indicators of the output of specialists, the number of higher education institutions is increasing and the number of specialties is expanding. On the other hand, the system of higher education was subordinated to the needs and opportunities of the state planned economy. The state purposefully expanded the training of personnel for the extensive development of production. The growth in the number of specialists with higher education was achieved due to an increase in admission to correspondence and evening departments. Decrease in the financing of education by the end of the 1980s. gradually led to the obsolescence of the material and technical base of universities, to a decrease in prestige, both university professors and graduates who did not find a decent job in their specialty. All this deformed the system of higher education and adversely affected the development of the Soviet state and society.

Kuryanovich Anna Vladimirovna METHODS FOR SUPPLYING RUSSIAN AND CHINESE YOUTH JARGON: COGNITIVE MECHANISMS OF DEPENDENCE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 4 (210). P. 54-62

Introduction. In the 21st century, all the languages of the world undergo radical changes in its lexical composition. Due to the need to nominate new concepts, phenomena and objects in the process of cognition and development of a constantly changing world, the lexical fund of languages is enriched by the emergence of new vocabulary, among which there are a lot of slang words. Youth jargon is an interesting language phenomenon both in Russian and in Chinese, which is developing almost simultaneously in two completely different language systems and linguistic cultures. Material and methods. The author analyzes the ways of replenishing the lexical fund of Russian and Chinese youth slang in a comparative aspect, taking into account the factor of cognitive mechanisms dependence of meaning generation within the framework of the slang fragment of the national world picture. The study is carried out on the basis of the material of the author’s dictionary files, as well as data from lexicographic sources based on the methodology of contextual, contrastive-comparative analysis, as well as word-formation modeling. Results and discussion. The most productive ways of enriching the corpus of youth vocabulary in both languages are revealed. This is metaphorization, affixation, foreign borrowing. At the same time, unlike Russian youth jargon, in the Chinese language, such methods as abbreviation and homophony reveal a greater specific gravity and linguocultural specifics in the formation of new slang units. The Chinese youth sociolect also reveals specifics when adapting foreign borrowings. These differences are due to the typological features of the Chinese language and the originality of the linguistic picture of the world of modern Chinese youth. Conclusion. The results obtained in the course of the study allow us to talk about the combined action within the framework of the slang subsystems of the Russian and Chinese languages as universal trends in the field of word production, and ways specific to each language to implement these trends. Ways to replenish youth jargon in a particular linguistic culture are determined by the conceptual content of its corresponding fragment.

The school lyrics participates in creation of a portrait of the typical character of Sologub’s lyrics: passive, dependent on the social patterns, limited to frameworks of algolagnic complex.

Pletneva Lyudmila Mikhailovna METAL MIRRORS OF THE BRONZE AGE FROM THE ELOVSKY II GRAVE FIELD // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 9 (162). P. 241-246

The paper is devoted to one of unique artifacts of the Bronze Age – the mirror. These artifacts have been found in Tomsky and Elovsky II grave fields in the Tomsk Ob Region. The Elovsky II grave field contains 370 graves of the Andronovo and Elovo cultures, but mirrors have been found only in 12 graves. They belong to two groups: diskshaped and square mirrors. The paper analyzes the positions of mirrors in graves and persons to whom they were placed. As concluded, they were rarely placed to men, more often to women and children. In addition, the analysis of grave goods shows that children graves are especially rich in artifacts. This is typical of some burial grounds of the Bronze Age discovered in different areas. Mirrors had several functions: it was used as a fashion accessory, as an amulet, and as a symbol of belonging to elite and authority. Over a long period of time (the Bronze and Iron ages), mirrors had different functions in different areas and archaeological cultures.

The epistolary forms which entered a context of “The Moscow magazine” and “The Bulletin of Europe” are considered as an embodiment of the concept of N. M. Karamzin – the publisher, as a reprezentant of his creative method. N. M. Karamzin actively develops poetics of the private, friendly letter in the journalistic and publishing practice, thus the poetics of epistolary publications in Karamzin magazines is conformable to poetics of his private letters. In magazines, also as well as in private letters, estimates and judgments of the publisher, his image itself organize reader’s perception, play a sample role, immerse in the Karamzin sphere of spiritual and intellectual aspirations. The letter as a plot forming element of Karamzin magazines allowed their publisher to come into direct contact with the reader, and “someone else’s” letters became remarks in the dialogue organized by the publisher, a reason for publishing reflections. The letter becomes an ideal form of creation of the addressee – the reader of the magazine as in it the behavioural standard is formed. Certain dynamics of epistolary poetics from “The Moscow magazine” to “the Bulletin of Europe” is noted. The conclusion is that the epistolary is the major esthetic category, it in many respects causes deep internal unity of editions of N. M. Karamzin.

The process of professional education for a practical psychologist becomes the process of his professional formation and his personality formation in general. As a result, changes in a personality entail changes in the whole structure of the professional activity of a practical psychologist.

The hybrid Baker’s method together with the cor-relative functional by Lee, Young and Parr was used for constants calculation of the quadric field interaction of the compound sets of cooper, silver and gold. The results were compared with the data of microwave spectroscopy in the gas phase. Results of researches have shown that the presowing treatment of seeds with selenium ions (selenite and selenate ions) has a stimulating effect on elongation of the shoot structural elements of the plants Lactuca sativa L. as well as on the content of the chlorophylls sum. Specificity of the influence of different selenium ions consists in regulating the synthesis of biologically active substances and a dry biomass.

The paper analyses the toponymic data of the fi eldnotes by G.-V. Miller collected among Narym and Ket Ostyaks in 1740. The focus of attention is on hydronymic terms. Available data allow to map the area of settlement of Selkup-speaking population in the middle part of the Trans-Ob region in the mid 18th century and make observations on this population’s localization in the watersheds of the main local rivers of Tym, Ket’, Parabel’, Chaja, and Chulym.

Interrelation between Tajik proverbial corpus and peculiarities of national mentality, not discussed earlier, is considered in the article. Key features of Tajik/Persian mentality have been distinguished and highlighted by scoping literary review on the problem. The strata of 950 Tajik and Persian proverbs was searched to find characteristic features of national psychology and analyze them to discover specific peculiarities of world outlook and national ideology. In today’s social interaction it is widely represented the sphere of conflict communication, which is a reflection of the existence in the society of a stable tendency to understanding the aggression as the permissible norms of hostile demonstrations, potentially punishable act inappropriately interpreted the notions of freedom and personal responsibility. Careful attention of scientists focused on the study of network communication in various forms of embodiment of its genre, in particular, - the correspondence of many social network users. The article presents an analysis of the characteristics of communicative behavior of linguistic identity focused on the implementation of hostile manipulative strategies in relation to others in the network correspondence. Such linguistic identity is defined as the conflict on the basis of a number of parameters, of which the key factor is in favor of communicative intention. In particular, it comes to speech and means to achieve them in a communicative activity of a troll as a carrier of the type of conflict. The essence of trolling - communicative actions of a troll - consists in placing provocative messages on the network in order to create conflict situations. Trolling can have different manifestations, from a «harmless» for the participants in the communication of a verbal clash about certain events and / or individuals, to «hard» forms associated with causing moral harm to the interaction of participants. A motivating base of actions in the network can be the troll’s desire for emotional satisfaction from spilling out negative emotions against other communicators, aggressive and hostile manipulations, shocks. Troll promotes creation of provocation incitement in the communicative field by moving from discussion of social issues to personality of interaction participants. Such course of action, of course, entails a response. Troll can be seen in groups, discussing a variety of topics and issues and contemporary life. However, this discussion speaks only about the reason for a troll to «catch» and then, from the replica to the replica to deploy negative-emotional «onslaught» on the interlocutors. A natural result of becoming a failure in communication or its complete cessation. The specificity of the troll’s network behavior allows us to talk about its potential responsibility in the field of ethical and legal relations. This is facilitated by the factors: firstly, the deployment of manipulative trolling actions for specific network participants’ correspondence; secondly, active use in speech of stylistically reduced and obscene words, performing the function of invective. Given the above, it can be argued that the 6l.
