The research is devoted to ontological approach to culture. This approach allows tracing its profound sources and foundations. In this way poetry is the source of culture. It is understood as a concept of the culture ontology. Poetry breaks open continuity and homogeneous territory, i.e. poetry is a conversion from Nothingness to Being which puts in order archaic Chaos to Cosmos creating a culture. According to this idea the essence of truth is beauty
