Monitoring the Quality of the Foreign Language Competence of Technical Universities Students
The paper states the issue of collecting information about the students’ achievements in foreign languages, which is part of the quality monitoring system in education, as a problem of importance for higher educational institutions in Russia. As a way to solve the problem it is suggested that regular testing should be conducted with uniform test instrument elaborated for all the students of the same year within a given institution.
