Social – Patriotic and Sports Movement of Youth in Tomsk during the Great Patriotic War
The article is the first research in history of physical culture during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) in Tomsk. A reader will be able to derive from the article the information on sociocultural situation in the city within the specified period. The problems of organization activity in the sphere of physical culture under the war time conditions and the role of the managing structures in this politically essential process are considered in the article. The information about the activity of voluntary sport societies, staff arranging, the forms of physical education, and the role of physical culture in the life of young people during the war are provided here.
