The Specific Character of Sense Representation in Icon Symbols: the Postnonclassic Interpretation of the C.S. Peirce Theory
Introduction of the new integral class of sign – the iconic symbol, which combines the structure similarity with object and sense polysemy – is based on the grounds of the signs classification, proposed by C.S. Peirce. The specific character of the iconic symbol is studied and its main characteristics are revealed.
