The article offers to review archeological, language, ethnographical and archival sources and materials from the area of Tym river – the right tributary of the Ob. The material is presented as stages in the area studies. Description of language and ethnographical sources is given in details, whereas archeological and anthropological material is characterized shortly. This is due to difference in the amount of sources and information.
