About Metaphor in I. Brodski’s Poetry

The comparative analysis of metaphoric fragment of sound picture of the world in Russian linguistic mentality and in I. Brodski’s poetry is undertaken. This analysis is based on communicative and cognitive linguistic data. The authors investigate howling as a special type of sound and trace the transformation of the national metaphoric model in Brodski’s literal activity.
