THE IMPACT OF RELIGIOUS-PHILOSOPHICAL VIEWS OF L. TOLSTOY UPON THE WORKS OF ART OF 1880TH YEARS
A radical change in the outlook of L. Tolstoy, which occurred in the late 1870s – early 1880s, had a significant impact on the poetics of his works. The article outlined the approach to the late writer`s work as a single artistic and moral-ethical system. A review and comparative analysis of the artistic heritage of L. Tolstoy 1880s (for example, works of “Diary of Mad”, “The Death of Ivan Ilyich”, “The Kreutzer Sonata”, “The Devil”) in terms of their compliance with the religious and ethical teachings of the writer set out treatises “Confession”, “The study of dogmatic theology”, “What I Believe”, “So what do we do?”. As a result, the comparative analysis of the theoretical and artistic works found that the following provisions of the teachings of L. Tolstoy found a real reflection of his literary works: the idea of the regeneration of man by overcoming the disaster, the superiority of the spiritual “I” of “I” “animal”, a dedicated service to humanity People`s lives are recognized as exemplary.
