This article analyses the impact of globalization on many dimensions of language interaction between peoples of different cultural backgrounds. Language development trends are highlighted and principles of development of the constructive cultural and language policy are discussed. The main features of the linguistic dimension of globalization are considered as well as possible approaches to timely and adequately meet the challenges of globalization.
