ON INNER CODE SWITCHING IN FORMING OF NUMERALS IN THE COURSE OF RUSSIAN – KHANTY LANGUAGE CONTACT
The article regards the particular aspects of the socio-linguistic situation that currently exists for the speakers of the Surgut dialect of the Khanty language. In the course of Russian – Khanty language contact, the cases of inner code switching often occure not only on the lexical, but also on the morphological level of the language, namely in the sphere of numeral formation and that may give evidence of gradual loss of the Khanty language and a transition to the predominant Russian language.
