COGNITIVE METAPHOR AS A METHOD OF LANGUAGE CATEGORIZATION OF THE SUN IN OLD ENGLISH AND OLD ICELANDIC POETIC TEXTS
The article considers the language categorization of the sun in Old English and Old Icelandic poetic texts. Figurative (metaphoric) components which show the relation of the analyzed denotatum to the category of the animateness/inanimateness are revealed.
