SEGMENT MULTI-LEVEL STRUCTURE OF THE OLD GERMANIC CONCEPT “FIRE”
The article contains the investigation of the Old Germanic concept “Fire” on the material of Old English and Old Norse. The theoretical basis of the study is the approach to the concept structure determination by means of analysing language unities which represent it. The core, segments, layers and periphery of the concept “Fire” are revealed in the process of studying a series of lexical units representing this concept in the context of Old English and Old Norse literature.
