The article presents characteristic plant covering of bogs of the Republic of Mordovia in conjunction with the lithogenic base and position in the landscape. Attention is paid to the disturbed peatlands. For the first time the authors introduce a scheme of division of the territory of Mordovia on the predominant types of wetlands.
