The article concretizes the scientific notion of civil-patriotic value orientation in sports students; this orientation is considered as a component of students’ personality structure, characterizing future sportsmen’s civil and patriotic focus and activity essence, determining their overall attitude towards the world and themselves, giving meaning and direction to professional sports conduct and acts. The authors describe forms and methods of value formation; scientifically justify psychological and pedagogical conditions, contributing to the efficiency of civil-patriotic value orientation formation in sports students.
