SEMANTICS OF SLEEP IN V. NABOKOV’S NOVEL “THE EYE”
In Nabokov’s novel “The Eye” semantics of sleep is researched by means of analysis of plot, narrative and intertextual levels of the work, it is proved that through a dialogue with classical literature Nabokov expresses his interpretation of sleep which corresponds to existential world outlook.
