The article reports on the results of experimental research of accentual structure characteristics in English, Russian and Spanish. On the grounds of comparative analyses examples of positive transfer of accentuation rules into non-native speech as well as negative effect of the native language upon experiment participants’ sentence nucleus choice are considered.
