The article is the result of extensive research and compilation of data on the history of the childcare facilities organization in Western Siberia during the Great Patriotic war. The statistical analysis of the number of institutions on areas and, in general, in Western Siberian region, considered the difficulties faced by society in dealing with the organization of the evacuated and local childcare centres during the war was carried out in the article.
