In this article we some typical professional engineering tasks in the sphere of equipment and technology of welding production, taking of which is during the studying of a range of mathematical and natural sciences and professional disciplines cycle according to the curriculum of “Machine building” degree programme. We propose generalized methods for solving professional problems and ways of their specificity in the study of physics at the university.
