The article is devoted to the correspondence of literature tale and fantasy on the different levels of poetics. Among general characteristics the nature of miracle and the principles of characters creation are marked out. The unoriginality of fantasy works in relation to folk texts and the tendency to individual author's myths creation are considered as the distinguishing characteristics of fantasy.
