In terms of I. S Turgenev 's works the question of the formation of the type of an «odd man out» in Russian literature is studied in this article. One of the most important sources of its formation is staying of most of «odd men out» in Germany, their deep understanding of German culture, first of all, of German classic philosophy. German classic philosophy nourished Russian philosophic ideas during the whole XIX century.
