The article is devoted to methods of creating positive motivations of students acquiring social-economic and humanitarian professions while studying the "Conceptions of Modern Natural Science" course. Professional success motivation and cognition motivation are described. It contains empirical data on the influence of positive motivations on achieving progress while studying the course. Practical recommendations are given.
