The paper is dedicated to investigating George Sand's motives in the novel «Oblomov» by IS. Goncharov. Similar moral values of the two writers made possible the proximity if their creative work. Both of them put their heroes on trial by love. An undoubtful parallelism of plots of these two novels is noted.
