The paper analyses the object domain tasks that performed by university division (dean’s office), and as a result was created an information model of the dean’s office activity. 4 | According to the authors of the article the fundamental criterion of psychological and didactic approach to learning is a combination of the principle of the structural organization of the individual as a unique hierarchically organized psychological system with the principle of individual approach, implemented in relation to the person in the course of training activities. On the basis of the psychological and didactic principal of learning activity the authors developed and implemented a computer program, which is to identify the foreign students' learning activity style in Russianlanguage educational environment. The computer program is implemented in the form of web- based application of modern software solutions for network applications. 5 | This article deals with the automation of activities of Tomsk State Pedagogical University (TSPU). A review of the information systems developed and implemented in different departments at TSPU is conducted, including describing the information systems implemented in the research and development department, the editorial offices of scientific journals, the office of admissions, the document control center, and the department of student affairs. Basic information flows between the automated systems are described, and interfaces of their interactions are analyzed. The introduction of innovations in the University management system on the basis of modern information technologies is one of the most promising approaches, which will allow us to create advantages in today’s highly competitive educational environment. On the basis of the analysis performed, the main directions of activities for technical services and laboratories on the perfection and complex completion of the University’s information systems are revealed with the purpose of their further integration. Actual problems in the field of applying information technologies in the information systems of the University and ways to solve them are considered, as well as the directions for future work of the Institute of Applied Informatics are outlined. 6 | This paper considers the aspects of creating the typical model of business processes of an academic department. Applying the ARIS methodology allowed us to raise the efficiency of educational process management due to domain modelling when projecting components of the information system. Using the eEPC notation, the reference model intended for modelling the control of students’ academic progress during the examination periods has been constructed. On the basis of the analysis of application of business processes in the field of automation of management systems in higher education, the typical element of the object-oriented model of an academic department has been developed. 7 | This article is devoted to the methodological and practical approaches to developing and implementing the electronic portfolios for learners as part of the electronic educational environment for managing the learning process. Based on the modern model of education in the pedagogical university, as well as on the federal state standard, the main sections of the system of the students’ electronic portfolio have been formulated, which describe the main educational, scientific and other achievements of the students. In addition, the functional capabilities of the software implementation of an example of the electronic portfolio, software architecture and the methodological approaches to working with the system have been substantiated. The application of the students’ electronic portfolios allows us to quickly obtain the information about the status of the main parameters of student activities and to stimulate them in different areas of the activities. The electronic portfolio contains the following main categories of users: students, dean’s staff and system administrators. Students contribute the main data array (achievements of different types), and employees of the dean’s office can view a list of students’ portfolios. The created e-portfolio system allowed teachers, TSPU staff and the departments of the university to form a picture of students’ achievements in the different fields of the activities, which is enough completed for analysis and decision making, and on the basis of information stored in the system, to assign scholarships of different levels as well as to calculate rating indicators, and, thus, to indirectly monitor the learning process.
