1 | The article reflects the problem of science education, which manifest themselves in school and in higher school. In particular, these problems are common to the schools and universities of Tomsk. The problems are manifested by the facts: poor results at final exams in school (average point at the final examination in physics is not high, for Tomsk it is slightly higher than in Russia in whole); weak natural-science preparation of pupils identified in the serious study; lowering of the pass mark for the students of technical faculties of leading universities of Tomsk. In addition, in the above studies was found low practical and technical preparation of students, which affects the training of engineers. The authors analyzed the proposals to solve the manifested problems. Part of the proposals concerns the introduction of a propaedeutic course of natural-science for pupils of 5–6 classes. The authors believe that such training is more effective in the study of the course, built on the basis of the most important natural subject – physics, rather than on the basis of integrated natural sciences course. Propaedeutic study of the subject, built in a certain way, contributed to the appearance of the motivation to study it. The process of such training is presented as an elective course (shows the program and, in part, the ways of working with students), where students are introduced to the great discoveries and the engineering, and consumer applications of these discoveries. The course is built on the basis of a joint discussion of the problems, updating of knowledge of students about the scientists and the benefits of their discoveries, the organization of observations and execution of simple model experiments. As a result, students gain some practical, technological and information skills. The article shows the positive results of the students, the appearance of their motivation to study physics. 2 | The article reflects the problems of engineering education, which manifest themselves at present in school and at university. These include: low starting capabilities of the entrants, i.e. weak fundamental knowledge, insufficient independence, lack of motivation to educational and future professional activity, reduction of interest in technical education. The study revealed low motivation of pupils and students to study the subject. The author analyzes methods to solve the problem of orientation of students to the engineering profession, currently used and proposes his solution to the problem – the introduction of a propaedeutic courses with a practical orientation for students in grades 5–6. Teaching the course is built on the basis of a joint discussion of the new knowledge, knowledge acquisition of the students about the scientists and their discoveries, the organization of the observations and performing simple model experiments, designing the simplest devices. As a result, the students acquire some practical, technological, and informational skills. The article shows the positive results of the development of practical skills of students, have the appearance of a motivation to study physics and development of cognitive interest. The article describes a course for the 6th grade, where the pupils get acquainted with the great discoveries and their engineering and home incarnations, and the results reflect the importance of the course. 3 | The problems of teaching modern schoolchildren in the conditions of introduction of a new state standard and the problems of the training of a modern teacher of Physics, which have arisen in connection with this, are pointed out. Currently, as indicated in many documents on higher education, in the country’s development program, there is a shortage of engineering personnel. This is due to the insufficient number of entrants for technical specialties and their weak motivation for training at university. These problems occur at school. These problems can only be solved by a teacher. In order to s olve this problem the author proposes a model of advanced training of bachelors of pedagogical education in Physics. For special training of bachelors a learning model is built that is implemented on the objects of a method ical orientation and based on considerable independent work of students under the guidance of a teacher. Preparation of students for the activation of Physics teaching and orientation of students for technical education is built in stages, with the distribution of study assignments for the fourth and fifth years of study. Students independently stu dy the literature recommended by the teacher, work together to develop materials for teaching students. This article presents samples of the developed materials for students in grades 7–9. All work with students is built on the basis of selected principles that theoretically justify the construction of the model training. The results of the pedagogical experiment are presented.
