P. 68-71 The article deals with the theory of competence-based approach, which is the methodological basis for the implementation of the GEF HPE. There was spotted urgency of the implementation of competence-based approach in the educational process of the GEF HPE. The centrepiece of the article takes the concept of “competence approach”, the introduction of which in education improves the quality of training of professionals. There is analysis of the concepts of “competence” and “competence” and their relationships. There was revealed the meaning of the term “educational content”.
