Preconditions of opening a national turk-tatar pedagogical technical school in Tomsk in the 20-s and its activity during the first years of the existence are analyzed in the article.

H. Tain is a famous representative of the philosophy of positivism. This article deals with Tain's point of view on the specifics of European historical process in the period between V-th-XVIII-th centuries. Tain's idea to investigate the history of development of the European civilization as an evolution of morals of European society was original and innovative in historiography of XIX century. Tain had enlisted the factors: longing to freedom, following the Christian laws, chevalry honesty and loyalty etc., which stimulated the development of moral evolution of the West from savage barbarian to civilized society.

The article offers to review archeological, language, ethnographical and archival sources and materials from the area of Tym river – the right tributary of the Ob. The material is presented as stages in the area studies. Description of language and ethnographical sources is given in details, whereas archeological and anthropological material is characterized shortly. This is due to difference in the amount of sources and information.

Theoretical and Methodological Bases of M.B. Shatilov’s Research Works // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 1 (52). P. 110-116

The article is the first one to study theoretical and methodological bases of research works of the well-known Tomsk ethnographer and historian of the 20-s and the 30-s of the 20th Century – M.B. Shatilov. A complex of various cognitive procedures, used by M.B. Shatilov in his research practice, has been analyzed and classified. The paper describes the main concepts of the ethnographer and his position on a number of issues in traditional culture of Siberian peoples, and in the original culture of the Vakh Khanty, in particular. The analysis of the Shatilov’s concepts results in the conclusion that the ethnographer was close to the evolutional trend in Russian ethnography, which held its positions in the 1st quarter of the 20th Century.

The Factors of Forming the Linguistic Situation of the Narym Selkups in 1920–1930 // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2007. Issue 3 (66). P. 161-168

The article considers the conditions of functioning of the Narym Selkups language in 1920–1930. The paper is based on the materials of State Archive of Tomsk Region. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the factors influencing the linguistic situation and its development. These factors are of social, economic, ideological and cultural character, they were formed during the process of settling the system of Soviet values. The complex of the factors changed the linguistic situation in the Narym region and caused the continuous degradation of the ethnical and cultural identity of the Narym Selkups.

THE INNOVATIONS BETWEEN THE 1920–30IES YEARS IN THE ECONOMICAL LIFE OF THE SELKUP PEOPLE AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE TRADITION CULTURE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2010. Issue 9 (99). P. 138-144

The article represents the analysis of innovations’ of the 1920–30ies years impact on the economy, on the changing of the cultural paradigm of the Middle Ob Selkup. The innovations influenced the core spheres of the culture of the ethnos – its life-supporting, economical and social spheres. The interconnection of the spheres contributed to the full penetration of the innovations into the culture of the Middle Ob Selkup. It is correct to state that the process of shifting the values and cardinal change in the structure and the elements of the Selkup culture started between the 1920 –30ies years.

FISHING INNOVATIONS AMONG THE NARYM SELKUP IN 1920–1930s // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2012. Issue 1 (116). P. 130-135

The article is based on the archive material dated as back as 1920–1930s. The central point of attention is the mechanisms of the cultural change among Selkup people at the critical time for the Russian economy. It was found out that the fi shing traditions and customs of the Selkup population underwent material change because of the new social and economic relations that appeared at the time. As a result of the changes the Selkup economy integrated greatly in the economy of the Soviet society.

WARGi MЬDe – «GREAT WAR» AND DEMOGRAPHIC SITUATION OF MIDDLE-SELKUPS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2012. Issue 9 (124). P. 100-106

The paper focuses on the participation of the Selkups in the Great Patriotic War. The main emphasis is on establishing of the Selkup pre-war population in the area of Narym and the number of their casualties in the war. Following analysis the author concludes that the large casualties of the Selkups at the front have led to high-quality demographic changes and became one of the reasons that caused irreversible cultural change in the postwar period.
