OBJECTIVIZATION OF FOREST IN THE WORLDVIEW OF SELKUPS
The article involves analysis of forest categorization based on the dialect material of the Selkup language. The paper considers the role of the forest in the worldview of Selkup ethnic groupand relevant forest characteristics. Everyday and mythopoetic perception of forest by the representatives of Selkup peoples is represented on the basis of folklore analysis and native literature. The role and function of trees in the Selkup culture and language are examined and observed in the article. On the basis of linguistic material analysis and results of association experiment trees having the most cultural value for the Selkup peoples are defined and described.
