The article is devoted to studying the functional assimilation of the words of foreign origin in the Russian language using the Tomsk literary monuments of the XVII Century. The general collocations of borrowings are considered in connection with their semantic, morphological and syntactical peculiarities as their movement to the implementation of collocation potentials of native Russian words.
