1 | The article deals with the problems of adopting the methods of humanitarian science while teaching subjects related to information technology. 2 | The paper deals with the problems of general managerial skills and the goals of the study of programming languages in the training of managers. In the course of such training the author proposes to distinguish between three levels of management competencies and three approaches to the study of programming languages. Therefore the notion of “program” is seen in three aspects: a program as an abstract finite-state automaton; program as a syntactic construct; program as a system – a model of the world. According to the aims of the course software from primitive level to high level is offered; the steps of learning are established; a number of high-level languages are compared; the existing experience is analyzed. As part of the stated objective for training the author offers means of programming from primitive to high-level; builds a sequence of mastering the basics of programming; compares a number of high-level languages in terms of the task; analyses the existing experience of implementing these ideas in the learning process. 3 | The article is based on the concept of myth as the ‘space act’. The author doesn’t consider myth to be a literary piece. A myth is proposed to be viewed as a cultural model of behavior and the action that caused them, as a sacred text. The article deals with the problem of interpretation of ballet. No realistic ballets with well-developed plot and psychologically credible characters (so-called dramality) are revealed, but the fabulous works of ballet classics. Using the methods of hermeneutics, the author naturally extends the concept of ‘text’ to the action consisting of dance, mime and gesture and shows that in the space of myth everything is important. Three choreographic versions of the ballet ‘Sleeping Beauty’ are analyzed. Each of them can be properly understood within the framework of mythopoethic reality. 4 | The article deals with the problem of raising the competent specialist while preparing a functionary owing a set of competencies. On the example of the course “Computer Science” is displayed how the executor of the commands in the specified range of practical skills forms a manager with a systems thinking able to solve problems using available life experience. Constant updating of technical tools in the field of information and communication technologies poses to people preparing future employees of high-tech industries, tough questions. Two of these issues will be addressed in the proposed work. First, what to choose as a landmark of education - a set of practical skills or fundamental knowledge?
